Hello cyber surf world. Mike Fish here from the editorial pulpit at Transworld Surf.
Welcome to my blog. You might be wondering what this “Mr. Tuna” business is about. Well, I’ve give you a self-serving and irrelevant explanation (that’s the stuff good blogs are made of, right?) While interviewing Senior Photographer Tim Jones for next issue’s Ask the Expert (topic: Do photographers go over the falls?), he was a lively source, to say the least.
For those of you who don’t know him, Jonesy is a top rate Aussie nut. In the best possible way, of course. And you can probably tell that by looking at his photos. I mean, you don’t take pictures like this by going along with the grain.
Anyway, to end his hilarious and not-PG rated rant (which you’ll have to read when it comes out soon), TJ closed it: “Get farked, Mr. Tuna, I’ve got work to do.” Leave it to Aussies to dole out the funniest nicknames (said with the funniest accents). Of course it stuck around in our edit staff of self deprecating jokers. Luckily, I could use a catchy name/ alter ego to blog with. So wah-lah.
So welcome to our new website (I know you’ll love it).
And welcome to the blog of Mr. Tuna (which, of course, you may or may not love).
